Hello,

This is Jin Younghee - in short, Genie. I am a Korean and T-H-E real-life "Aunt Genie". I have been in kitchen & household business for a very very long time - over 20 years.  My purpose has been dead-on point since day 1. I believe that "we all deserve premium-quality kitchenware for less."

In Korea, I am known as 'FeelHi'.

As an internal trader, I have introduced tens of brands from the U.S, Germany, France, & Italy to Koreans.  Also, I have created a dozens of products such as dutch-oven, frying pans, woks, food containers, or "kitchen dishtowels" in this case.  I design my own logos, invent my own products by hands - they are my babies and I love 'em all.

Since 2021, after the pandemic, I have seen the "life" trend of "the New-Normal."

COVID has had a profound effect on our lifestyles. From how we work to how we interact with others, from eating out to eating home-cooked food, all changes point in one direction – one where food trends and eating habits will never be the same.

However you cook at home or have your meals delivered, cleaning & dishwashing never will change. Indeed, dishwashing is a synonym for" hassle, inconvenience, annoyance, and problem.

Well... That's exactly why I created Aunt Genie's bamboo dishcloths. I want to make your life better, easier, faster, and less troublesome.

Why I am so passionate about these bamboo dishcloths? It's because it's truly chemical-free and require only water to clean dishes and home surfaces. Also, it comes in a set of 3:

• 2 scrubbers for grills, woks, and grease,
• 2 dishcloths for everyday dishwashing and household cleaning, and
• a dishtowel for spotless drying

Hello, 

I am Aunt Genie. Today, I would love to go over some questions that I was getting in the messages and comments. Love to answer them all here in details:

1. "How long does it last?"

-> ANSWER: 

Dishcloths are consumable in nature. Traditional scrubbers and dishcloths get dirty, smelly, and discolored. Those three are the main reasons for replacement.

(1) Look at Aunt Genie's dishcloths, here.  It's very difficult to discolor them. Even Engine Oil is a no match (if it's wayshed in a timely manner, of course.) 

(2) Bamboo naturally removes odor. To be exact, it does not hold onto odor. 

In conclusion, you can use it upto 4-6 months, depending on your use.

2. "What are the Best uses cases? How do you use these dishcloths correctly?"

-> ANSWER: 

Best answer this questions... I already made a demo video here. It's not real-time like TV shopping, but it's 100% real and no cheating. Most importantly, it's ODDLY SATISFYING to watch. Or is it just me?

3. Why Aunt Genie?
My name is Jin Young-Hee. It's difficult to pronounce for sure. Heck! Even my husband struggles sometimes. When you say my name 100 times in a row really fast, you will say "Genie" at the end. haha so that's been my nickname for a long time. That's how 'Aunt Genie' was born :)

It's not a marketing gimmick. It's me!

 4. One of our backers Jonathan Whiteley asks,
"It seems like the product already exists: is the campaign to brand it to an international audience? Will we be able to order replacements from feelhi.com or another retailer to ship internationally after the campaign?"
-> ANSWER:
     They are not the same at all. Those on Feelhi.com are about 10 years old. :) I personally discovered the power of "Bamboo yarn" when I was actively going in and out of China. I loved how well it cleans grease and grimes, so I made the original inventions... that was a long time ago. What I used to sell on Feelhi.com is 100% Made in China, too. We indicate that on the site... It says 'Made in China OEM' HOWEVER,
For Aunt Genie, everything changes !
  (1) It's Made in Korea and Made by Korean Aunties like me. We do about 99% of manufacturing here. We only import bamboo threads.
  (2) Composition is different too. Aunt Genie brings 100% bamboo while Feelhi has lots of polyesters. Feelhi products are sub-par as it does not go back to the earth.
  (3) Plus, "Scrubber" is totally new! You've never seen a product like this before. The "Scrubbing" part is 100% bamboo, too, washing off dirt, grease, grime easily with no dish soap! It's a grease-killer! In close up, it looks like this. I am constantly improving it, so what's delivered in your mailbox could have different look and feel, but I am sure it will bring the better quality and functionality for sure.

 (4) Lab tests proves Aunt Genie's power! :)
Your health & safety in mind, all three Aunt Genie's dishcloths are basically safe & clean, proven in the lab test (the original product from China is a no match here) Dishcloths are 5000 years old industry, but in 2021, and 2022, I am making sure to bring the highest standard to the dishcloths industry! :) They are

• OEKO-TEX Certified
• Super resistant against E.Coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria
• Free of Allergens in dyes
• Free of Cadmium or other heavy metals
• Free of Fluorescent brightening agents 

 (5) I have no plans on distributing Aunt Genie through professional distributors. I probably go' into Amazon straight. That's probably the smartest way as it's the best way to ensure the quality in the long term.

I believe that people deserve premium-quality kitchenware for less. Hi, my name is "Jin Young-hee". In my whole life, friends & family called me "Jenie or Genie." Today, I am branding myself to be "Aunt Genie" to help you with household cleaning and dish washing!

Obviously, I am the creator of Aunt Genie's dishcloths, dish towels, and scrubbers. ;) It's been such a long journey for me to come to Kickstarter to launch this project on Kickstarter.  After the endless nights of sewing and countless editing of designs and videos, now, we are finally here. 

I am committed to bring you the best kitchen cleaning solutions that you have ever seen. I know you and your family will love it. Like the main pitch video says, 'once you go Aunt Genie, you can't never go back!'

About the Dish Towels ...!

Hello, Backers,

The last update was published prematurely. I clicked "PUBLISH" button instead of "save as draft" :-(  So here is another update that was missing from the previous.

This one is exclusively for Bamboo Dish towel. As you already know, it looks like this, and I would love to show you here again as a reminder.

In the "development process" of dish towel, I have 3 towels here to show you. The left is the oldest that I have first developed 20 years ago or so; the middle is 7-10 years ago; the right is the Kickstarter version - the creation for Aunt Genie. 

The reason for each product is to focus on its core purpose of the drying dishes. When drying dishes, the traditional towels have some problems.

• Slow drying 
• Harboring odours
• water spots, stains, and such.

This is how I fixed those problems:

• MAKE DRYING FASTER: thx to its waffle-like surfaces, the waffle weave is to provide an effective airflow meaning they can air-dry fast. As it dries faster, it does have less chance of haboring odors
• MAKE THAT ODORLESS: It's bamboo - so naturally it's naturally odor-free. 
• WIPE THEM SPORTLESS: again, thx to its structure, it does not leave any lints behind. Think about 'cotton' dishtowels... each and every wipe, it leaves lints. This bamboo towel does not. :)
